You will own the implementation of data collection and annotation strategies for linguistic datasets, focusing on iterative analysis, quality, and efficiency.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage large volumes of linguistic data and apply best practices for collection and annotation.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate data processing and handling workflows.
• Analyze quality control metrics to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
• Use language processing tools to bootstrap and process raw data.
• Annotate data strictly according to established guidelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in linguistics or NLP.
• Native or advanced proficiency in French or German.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R.
• Experience with language data analysis and data annotation.
• Experience developing and evaluating data annotation metrics and guidelines.
• Ability to analyze language abstractly.
• Master’s degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or a related data discipline (PhD considered).

Preferred Skills

• PhD in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics.
• Experience with automated quality control systems.
