Description

You will lead the design, development, and implementation of Alation data catalogue solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Alation data catalogue solutions, integrating them with BI tools, data warehouses, and CRM systems.
• Create and manage Alation data governance components and workflows.
• Define metadata load strategies and design migration plans.
• Troubleshoot Alation issues, debug logs, and resolve technical blockers.
• Automate Alation tasks using Python scripts and REST APIs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with Alation Data Catalogue.
• Hands-on experience with Alation REST API and Alation Compose.
• Proven ability to scan systems using connectors and configure JDBC drivers.
• Experience building data lineage and extracting metadata.
• Strong understanding of access control and role configuration within Alation.
• Ability to configure and customize Alation dashboards.
• Proficiency in SQL and core database concepts.
• Experience with Python for automation.
• Background in requirement gathering and technical design.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
