Description

You will lead Android platform development, manage the mobile codebase on macOS, and drive hybrid app quality.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Steward the Android platform and manage macOS development environments, including shell scripting.
• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins and hooks for hybrid applications.
• Perform annual maintenance on the codebase and automated build scripts.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to resolve issues.
• Train web developers on building and debugging hybrid applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development.
• Proficiency in Java with an interest in Kotlin.
• Experience with Google APIs for Android, including Auth, SafetyNet, and Permissions.
• Deep knowledge of threading, crash analysis, and security.
• JavaScript programming using Node and NPM package publishing.
• Experience with Cordova command line tools and hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Proficiency with Git, including submodules.
• Android Studio expertise on macOS.
• Ability to work on-site for USB device debugging.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• Ability to read Swift and Objective-C for iOS app development.
• Strong user experience skills.
