Description

Lead Android platform development and maintenance efforts on macOS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Steward the Android platform and development processes on macOS.
• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins, including hooks.
• Perform annual maintenance on the codebase and automated build scripts to keep pace with Android changes.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to address issues.
• Train web application developers on building and debugging hybrid apps.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Java and familiarity with Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of mobile programming concepts (Threading, Crash Analysis, Security).
• Experience with Android Studio and Google APIs (Auth, SafetyNet, Permissions).
• Familiarity with JavaScript programming using Node and hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Proficiency in Git Submodules and NPM package publishing.
• Experience with Cordova command line tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• Experience with iOS app development, including reading Swift and Objective-C.
