Description

You will lead Android development for a hybrid application project on macOS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Steward the Android platform and development environment on macOS.
• Create and maintain custom Cordova plugins and hooks.
• Maintain the codebase and automated build scripts to align with Android updates.
• Monitor production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to resolve issues.
• Train web developers on hybrid app construction and debugging.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Android development.
• Proficiency in Java and interest in Kotlin.
• Experience with Google APIs for Android, specifically Auth, SafetyNet, and Permissions.
• Deep knowledge of mobile programming concepts including threading, crash analysis, and security.
• JavaScript programming using Node.js.
• Hybrid app debugging via Chrome.
• Experience with Git, submodules, and NPM package publishing.
• Proficiency with Cordova command line tools and Android Studio.
• macOS configuration and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing APIs.
• iOS app development experience, including ability to read Swift and Objective-C.
