Description

Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable Android applications. You will own the technical direction while mentoring junior engineers and managing project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Android applications, developing reusable components and libraries.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to implement new features.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance on best practices.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance while fixing critical bugs.
• Manage project timelines and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional Android development experience with a track record of leading teams.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK and Jetpack components.
• Experience with modern architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVP.
• Experience connecting applications to backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Knowledge of Android performance tools, optimization techniques, and the mobile app life cycle.
• Experience with unit testing, code coverage tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Google Play Store guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
