Description

You will lead the Payments OS team in India, owning technical domains including Payment Fragment, Transaction UI flows, middleware, and low-level Android customizations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering initiatives to reduce technical debt and strengthen the technical foundation.
• Mentor junior developers through design guidance, implementation support, and rigorous PR code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into a maintainable, scalable, and observable engineering backlog.
• Manage release cycles, on-call rotations, production incident responses, and post-mortem analysis.
• Participate in quarterly and annual roadmap planning to align engineering efforts with product goals.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software industry experience with expertise in Java and Kotlin.
• Strong experience in Android Native Development using the Android SDK.
• Solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and SOLID principles.
• Full ownership of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to production monitoring.
• Expertise in designing standardized, secure, and intuitive external-facing RESTful APIs.
• Experience implementing development practices focused on testing and monitoring.
• Expert knowledge of Scrum processes and ceremonies.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience with AOSP, specifically customizing OS internals like power management and hardware interfaces.
• 2+ years of experience in Embedded Systems Engineering or Consumer Electronics.
• Background in payments, risk domains, or distributed system design.
