Description

Lead the architectural design and development of merchant payment systems, owning the full SDLC from requirements to production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement merchant payment system architectures and integrations with acquirers and payment gateways.
• Manage the full SDLC, including system design, development, DevOps, and defect resolution.
• Oversee POS deployments, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Communicate technical designs and status updates to senior architects and technical managers.
• Ensure compliance with payments industry standards, including PCI.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in payment system architecture.
• Hands-on experience with merchant acquirer APIs and payment gateway integration.
• Technical knowledge of Chip & Pin systems, Point of Sale (POS), Tokenization, and Encryption.
• Practical experience with POS deployment and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of payments industry standards such as PCI.
• Experience managing the full SDLC, including DevOps and defect resolution.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with the Java stack and Spring Boot.
• Experience with FreedomPay Gateway.
• Background in the travel and hospitality industry.
