Description

You will lead the design, implementation, and management of large-scale data infrastructure and cloud-based data pipelines.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Research and recommend technologies for private and public cloud infrastructure management and upgrades.
• Plan capacity monitoring and scaling for platforms and applications while managing costs and security.
• Lead technical decision-making, mentor team members, and integrate individual efforts into a cohesive strategy.
• Write and review system specifications, including technical diagrams and flow charts.
• Participate in software system programming, validation, deployment, and peer code reviews.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of large-scale data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Redshift, Glue, S3, DMS, Step Functions, Lambda, and EC2.
• Expert proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language, with coding in PySpark and SQL.
• Strong database skills in Oracle, SQL Server, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with orchestration techniques to manage complex dependencies.
• Practical knowledge of Data Analytics, ETL, and database queries.
• Experience with modern development lifecycles, including Agile, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a comparable major.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications.
• Financial Services industry knowledge.
