Description

Lead Azure infrastructure and Windows engineering, owning the full lifecycle of IaaS/PaaS workloads, security posture, and platform reliability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS workloads with high availability and best-practice configuration.
• Own the Windows Server engineering lifecycle, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and ADFS.
• Implement security baselines, least-privilege RBAC, and integrate detection/response with Sentinel and Defender.
• Lead OS hardening, patching compliance, and major incident resolution with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain operational documentation and support internal/external audits for cloud and Wintel services.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, IaaS, and PaaS.
• Hands-on expertise in Windows Server administration (2016-2022) and Active Directory services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Entra ID, RBAC, and conditional access.
• Expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Defender for Cloud.
• Understanding of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and failover clustering.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CIS benchmarks).
• Experience with PKI, TLS hardening, and secure access practices.
