Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend architectures that support terabyte-scale data.
• Build clean, ergonomic APIs and optimize database schemas for performance.
• Introduce performance-enhancing abstractions and drive engineering priorities alongside product needs.
• Mentor engineers in best practices and design robust testing strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience at scale.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Deep expertise in Python and Django frameworks.
• Advanced experience with ORMs and REST API design.
• Strong SQL optimization skills for large datasets.
• Proficiency in AWS for cloud deployment.
• Experience implementing authentication systems.
• Data pipeline development expertise.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with frontend technologies such as AngularJS, React, or Remix.
