Description

Lead backend engineering efforts for a remote, part-time volunteer position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the backend engineering team.
• Design, develop, test, and implement new features and complex database queries.
• Maintain applications and manage utility servers such as SFTP and proxies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and inform product roadmaps.
• Conduct code reviews and propose process improvements to increase developer efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Python using Django or Django REST framework.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and writing stored procedures.
• Experience with AWS and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React/Next.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex platform issues.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GoFiber or Express.
• Background working in IT startups or IT companies.
