Description

You will design, architect, and implement a scalable backend platform for a SaaS product, leading distributed systems and mentoring engineering talent.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly scalable distributed systems capable of handling high volume traffic and big data.
• Drive the strategic direction of software architecture and influence component development.
• Manage Kafka or similar messaging queues and oversee big data storage and management.
• Implement security, data protection, and application optimizations for maximum speed.
• Mentor engineering talent and enforce best practices including DevOps, TDD, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Required Skills

• 5 to 7 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Node.js.
• Deep expertise in MySQL and NoSQL databases.
• Practical knowledge of operating systems and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of GCP or AWS.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.
• Strong understanding of Pub/Sub, Kafka, or other streaming platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with SpringBoot.
• Experience with Sentry, MixPanel, or NewRelic.
