Description

Lead technical development and testing for MicroStrategy and Microsoft Power BI suites to support enterprise-wide data dissemination.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise BI solutions, including schema objects, dashboards, metrics, filters, and prompts to solve complex business analysis problems.
• Collaborate with functional business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs for reports, alerts, and visualizations.
• Define high-level information architecture to identify and relate all required data assets.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including estimating, planning, and executing development activities within specified timeframes and budgets.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and tune SQL processes and reporting objects, participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production problem resolution.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of core MicroStrategy or Power BI development.
• Expertise in complex SQL queries and complex stored procedures.
• Strong data modeling and data mart design skills.
• Ability to synthesize data from various sources for advanced data discovery and geospatial analysis.
• Experience designing and configuring automated delivery for BI documents and subscriptions.
• Proficiency in performing integrated testing to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of developed solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with both MicroStrategy and Power BI.
• 3+ years of retail experience with knowledge of retail business metrics.
• 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise-wide critical BI solutions.
