Key Skills: Kafka, Kubernetes

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead Kafka platform design and operations, including topic strategy, partitioning, replication, and consumer group management.
• Ensure reliable event streaming by implementing and validating producer/consumer patterns, delivery semantics, and backpressure handling.
• Collaborate on Kubernetes deployments and operational practices to support Kafka and microservices in production environments.
• Drive service-to-service communication using Istio patterns (traffic management, routing, and security) in a microservices architecture.
• Own incident response and performance tuning for streaming and service mesh components, including log/metric-driven troubleshooting.

Skills Required:

• 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in cloud-native infrastructure and integration platforms
• Kafka (event streaming, producers/consumers, consumer groups, topic configuration)
• Scalability and reliability practices for high-throughput messaging systems
• Production troubleshooting using logs/metrics and performance tuning for streaming workloads
• Deployment and operational experience in cloud-native environments

Good to Have:

• Kubernetes (workload deployment, operations, and troubleshooting)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
