Description

Lead technical design and modernization efforts for large-scale software systems and DMV transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current systems, document workflows, and gather user requirements to create design documents and functional specifications.
• Design multi-level architecture and component interactions for large-scale software systems.
• Write, debug, unit test, and integrate code following established technical standards and specifications.
• Execute QA and User Acceptance testing, including developing test cases and comprehensive test plans.
• Migrate source code to repositories and manage application publishing across different environments.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience making high-level design choices and dictating technical standards.
• 5 years of experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and EZTrieve on z/OS 4.2.0/V3.2 or above.
• 5 years of experience in Software Design, including program specifications, prototyping, and logical data models.
• 5 years of Business/Systems Analysis using UML modeling tools like Visio or Visual Paradigm.
• 5 years of testing experience, including data and system-level validation.
• 5 years of experience with DB2 version 10 or above.
• 5 years of debugging experience using CA-Interest or equivalent.
• 2 years of programming experience in an object-oriented language such as VB, C#, or Java.
• 2 years of experience consuming and testing web services using tools like SoapUi.
