You will design, implement, and oversee the operating strategy for the Cognos Center of Excellence, focusing on long-term scalability.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on Cognos best practices and architecture blueprints as an IBM Cognos Analytics SME.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex platform and tenant issues, resolving production incidents.
• Identify improvement areas and create project plans to meet team objectives.
• Monitor and maintain platform usage metrics utilizing Python frameworks.
• Automate Cognos Administration using Cognos APIs or Python.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience with Cognos Analytics.
• 3+ years of experience in Platform Administration and Automation.
• Expertise in IBM Cognos development, Modelling, and ETL concepts.
• Strong command of SQL and experience with Oracle, DB2, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience managing Hybrid and multi-cloud Cognos Analytics deployments.
• Proficiency with Containers and deploying applications on RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience using Cognos Analytics APIs for Administration/Automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Experience connecting Cognos Analytics to relational and big data sources.
