Description

You will lead computer operations staff and manage day-to-day production activities to ensure all batch cycles and scheduled tasks meet deadlines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily assignments of operations staff, including training, motivating, and reviewing work performance.
• Monitor and operate computer systems and console systems to identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware or software malfunctions.
• Execute mainframe tasks including IPL, starting and stopping regions, and resolving Abend issues.
• Manage shift handovers by reviewing scheduled changes and providing orderly transitions of work to succeeding shifts.
• Coordinate with IT groups to resolve complex scheduling conflicts, system irregularities, and change management issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the operation and support of diverse computer systems.
• Mainframe expertise including JCL, SDSF, JHS, SYSLOG, and JES2/MVS.
• Hands-on experience with SYSVIEW, OMEGAMON, and Tivoli or similar scheduling packages (ZEKE, ControlM, Apollo).
• Proficiency with ServiceNow (SNOW) and Splunk.
• Ability to manage storage on Mainframe and maintain tape libraries.
• Technical knowledge of Windows, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience using Microsoft Office for compiling operational reports.

Preferred Skills

• Storage administration experience.
• Deep understanding of Windows, Linux, and network environments.
