Description

You will lead the day-to-day activities of the computer operations staff and oversee shift performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations to ensure scheduled work and maintenance are completed on time.
• Operate and monitor computer systems to ensure all batch cycles meet deadlines.
• Identify, monitor, and diagnose system, hardware, or software problems to initiate corrective action.
• Train, motivate, and guide assigned staff while reviewing and approving their work.
• Coordinate shift transitions by reviewing scheduled changes and providing orderly handovers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the operation and support of various computer systems.
• Mainframe experience including ability to IPL, start/stop regions, and resolve Abends.
• Proficiency with JCL, SDSF, JHS, SYSLOG, and JES2/MVS.
• Experience using ServiceNow (SNOW) and Splunk.
• Hands-on experience with Tivoli or other scheduling packages (ZEKE/ZEBB, ControlM, Apollo).
• Ability to manage storage on Mainframe and maintain tape libraries.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with SYSVIEW, OMEGAMON, and printer commands.
• Competency in Microsoft Office.
