Description

You will lead large-scale Guidewire implementations for financial services and insurance customers, translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code adhering to industry standards and internal best practices.
• Translate business objectives from Japanese customer teams into technical solutions and present design options.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices for complex problem-solving.
• Contribute to application architecture and technical design, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable.
• Drive continuous improvement by promoting modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.

Required Skills

• 8–12 years of overall software development experience, including leadership in development teams.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming experience in Java or C#.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, including SQL and data modelling.
• Proven experience applying design patterns in enterprise solutions and contributing to application architecture.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and unit testing.
• Experience working with Japanese customer teams and gathering functional requirements.
• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or N2) and strong English communication skills.
• Working knowledge of XML and application integration.
