Description

Lead database design and data modeling strategy for a new development project within a large financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual, logical, and physical database designs using SQL Server.
• Develop data models optimized for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Analyze existing databases to recommend structural improvements and implement data quality controls.
• Direct the migration of historical data to new environments and oversee ETL processes.
• Set standards for database development, maintenance, and operations while mentoring team members.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server DBA roles, including design, development, and optimization.
• Expertise in Microsoft Full Stack technologies: .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.
• Proficiency with integration services including SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with reporting services such as SSRS, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Strong background in data modeling using tools like ER/Studio and Excel.
• Proven ability to apply DevSecOps best practices within Agile environments.
• Experience with test automation techniques specifically for SQL databases.
