Lead data engineering initiatives and technical delivery for large-scale data systems in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering projects and technical teams through complex implementations.
• Build and maintain data lakes using AWS Lake Formation, Glue, and Athena.
• Develop Python-based applications and micro-services for data processing.
• Deploy infrastructure and services on AWS using CloudFormation and CDK.
• Integrate real-time data streams using Kinesis and Firehose.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering with strong leadership experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and Athena.
• 3+ years of experience working with DynamoDB and SQL.
• Proficiency in Python application development and micro-services architecture.
• Experience deploying services on AWS using CloudFormation and CDK in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kinesis Data Streams, Firehose, and AWS Pipes.
• Experience with REST API integration using Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
• Technical expertise with AWS Lambda, EventBridge, CloudWatch, S3, and Systems Manager.
