Description

Lead a team of 3–7 engineers to design, implement, and deploy enterprise-scale data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise data solutions using cloud-based technologies.
• Manage a team of 3–7 data engineers, developers, and analysts.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and document processes.
• Implement software best practices including automated testing, peer code reviews, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into larger data-sharing systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in programming and object-oriented design, with a preference for Python.
• Strong database fundamentals including SQL, relational and non-relational data models, and schema design.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Big Data ETL methodologies and managing large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing, test-driven development, and the Pytest framework.
• Experience building and deploying products using continuous integration principles.
• Working knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake, including scheduled tasks, table streams, and JavaScript stored procedures.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Airflow.
• Experience creating visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
