Description

Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade batch and streaming data pipelines while mentoring a small team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Own the full data lifecycle, from architecture design through production support and optimization.
• Implement data governance, reliability standards, and cost-optimization strategies across the data ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions using SQL and Python.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with deep expertise in data engineering and ETL.
• 4-6+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and scaling data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, IAM, and networking.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, data modeling, and distributed processing.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern data architecture patterns (lakehouse, medallion).
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile analytics environments with evolving requirements.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
