Description

Lead data engineering initiatives by designing scalable architectures and mentoring a team of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discussions to define problems and advise on data architecture.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of efficient data pipelines and data products.
• Define technology stacks, best practices, and standards for data engineering.
• Manage technical design reviews, CI/CD pipeline health, and test automation.
• Lead and coach a team of engineers, promoting teamwork and skill enhancement.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud/DevOps environments, Data Lakes, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Expertise in data transformation and assembling data from multiple sources.
• Experience with batch and real-time processing frameworks.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem for cloud platform operations.
• Experience using Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, load balancing, networking, and security.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, with proficient business English.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Data Modeling, Lambda architecture, Data Vault, or Dimensional modeling.
• Understanding of Data Fabric and Data Mesh concepts.
