Description

You will lead data engineering initiatives from architectural advisory to hands-on implementation and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of efficient data pipelines and scalable cloud data solutions.
• Define the technology stack, engineering standards, and best practices for data architecture and analytics.
• Manage a team of Data Engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting design reviews, and promoting skill enhancement.
• Enable test automation and ensure the health of CI/CD pipelines and data application monitoring.
• Optimize data processing workflows and resolve complex organizational or process issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines and production Cloud/DevOps environments.
• Experience with batch and real-time processing frameworks.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT, data transformation, and Data Lake concepts.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, Big Data storage, and assembling data from multiple sources.
• Practical understanding of distributed systems, load balancing, networking, and cloud security.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, with proficient business English.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Data Vault, Lambda architecture, Data Fabric, and Data Mesh.
• Experience with dimensional modeling.
