Description

Lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of the Wealth Data Hub using Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption using GCP services.
• Develop data ingestion patterns for batch, streaming, and API interfaces.
• Guide a team of data engineers through hands-on development of frameworks and custom code.
• Implement application logging, notification, job monitoring, and performance monitoring systems.
• Perform proofs of technology to validate GCP services and communicate technical approaches.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and performance optimization for large OLTP applications.
• 4+ years of direct experience as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) developer.
• Expertise with GCP data services including DataProc, Dataflow, BigQuery, DBT, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Scala, and SQL.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Spark-streaming.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Dataflow for deploying streaming and batch jobs.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience developing and scaling Java microservices using Spring Boot.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Active Google Cloud Data Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing operational data stores and designing data models for financial or securities domains.
• Understanding of Wealth business line data domains.
