Description

You will lead data engineering efforts, manage critical client support functions, and design scalable data solutions on GCP BigQuery.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for client issue handling and escalations during onshore hours, ensuring resolution and communication.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and transformation workflows using DBT.
• Build and maintain scalable data solutions on GCP BigQuery, including schema design and query optimization.
• Lead production support activities during onshore hours, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and SLA adherence.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proven expertise in DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery and advanced SQL proficiency for complex query management.
• Mandatory knowledge of ETL Concepts and Dimensional Data Modeling.
• Familiarity with Fivetran.
• Demonstrated ability to handle client issues and production escalations effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and version control systems like Git.
