Description

You will lead the design and implementation of data pipelines and architecture within a fintech backend environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design data architecture, including ETL definitions, data models, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop ETL processes for batch and stream data ingestion from internal and external sources.
• Manage operational database setups, including S3 bucket provisioning and table management.
• Define macro sprint objectives for the backend data team and review the work of junior data engineers.
• Collaborate with architects and backend leads to shape data feasibility and analytics scope.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of industry experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in designing and implementing ETL pipelines and processes.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data pipeline delivery.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform.
• Experience managing AWS resources such as S3 buckets.
• Ability to define and implement KPIs through data pipelines.
• Experience working with fintech backend integrations and external vendors.
• Proven ability to lead technical solutioning and architecture design.

Preferred Skills

• Experience bridging the gap between technical data structures and client analytics requirements.
