Description

You will lead the integration of legacy mainframe systems with modern cloud-based services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programming within a mainframe environment.
• Integrate legacy systems with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures.
• Automate processes using Python scripting.
• Design and implement connectivity via REST APIs and microservices.
• Manage batch processing and mainframe tool workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong COBOL programming experience in a mainframe environment.
• Proficiency with mainframe tools including JCL, TSO/ISPF, Endeavor, and Xpeditor.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, IAM, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Experience with batch processing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe modernization or migration projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data transformation, or event-driven architectures.
