Lead - Data & ML Platform Engineering

Lead the architecture and development of the v2.0 intelligence layer on the Lakehouse platform, standardizing MLOps and expanding Agentic AI capabilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the v2.0 intelligence layer for the Lakehouse platform, ensuring sub-second latency across tens of thousands of retail stores.
• Standardize MLOps processes and drive platform operations to optimize performance for high-traffic digital channels.
• Manage, architect, and perform code reviews while actively contributing to development alongside the platform engineering team.
• Oversee the transition and management of data engineers within the platform group.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of total experience, with 8–12 years specifically in Data/ML Platform Engineering.
• Expertise in Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Mosaic AI.
• Proven experience in MLOps, Data Platform Engineering, and Agentic AI.
• Strong background in platform operations and code review practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with FinOps, data governance, quality frameworks, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Background in retail network platforms, high-traffic channels, sub-second latency optimization, and AI-ready platform engineering.
