Description

Lead the data science function in Chennai, managing a team of data scientists and ML engineers. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models, from framework setup to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, ML engineers, and big data specialists.
• Design and implement frameworks for the design, testing, and deployment of ML models in software applications.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure high-quality data supply for production models.
• Perform data quality checks, conduct exploratory studies, and visualize data to support organizational decision-making.
• Experiment with new modeling techniques and align data projects with business goals.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, including proven team management experience.
• Strong foundation in mathematics: statistics, probability, linear algebra, and time-series analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Jupyter for data wrangling and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow and Azure ML for model building and deployment.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and large-scale dataset handling.
• Applied knowledge of regression, clustering, and forecasting techniques.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure.
