We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced AI and Machine Learning initiatives within our insurance operations. This role will champion the development of GenAI solutions—including RAG, Agentic AI, and production-grade ML models—to transform risk assessment, claims automation, fraud detection, and underwriting efficiency.
About the Role
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will architect and deploy cutting-edge models, mentor teams, and integrate scalable AI solutions into cloud-based production systems. Your work will directly influence decision-making across underwriting, claims, binding authority, and overall operational excellence within the insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities
Generative AI & Agentic Workflows:
Build RAG pipelines, Agentic AI workflows, and LLM-powered systems using prompt engineering and frameworks like LangGraph/LangChain. Develop autonomous AI agents for real-time risk scoring and customer interaction.
Ensure model accuracy, bias mitigation, and regulatory alignment within insurance standards.
Model Development & Deployment:
Design and optimize ML and GenAI models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, fraud detection, and risk modeling. Deploy scalable models on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Conduct A/B testing, fine-tuning, performance evaluations, and implement continuous feedback loops.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to embed AI into core business workflows.
Establish benchmarks, monitor model drift, and ensure quality across large insurance datasets. Mentor junior data scientists and communicate insights to executives and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
10+ years in ML/Data Science + 3+ years leading GenAI initiatives in insurance/finance.
Deep expertise in Python, ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), GenAI tools (LangChain, LangGraph), and LLM fine-tuning.
Strong statistical modeling, algorithms, data structures, and experience with large-scale datasets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Insurance domain knowledge (claims, underwriting, binding authority, actuarial models) preferred
Any Graduate
