Description

You will lead the data science vision and strategy while developing new analytical tools, techniques, and products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and vision for data science initiatives and custom project work.
• Design and implement analytical solutions, including custom scores, strategy optimization, and benchmarking.
• Manage end-to-end projects by defining technical requirements, resource planning, and solution design.
• Communicate analytical results and business insights to stakeholders through data visualization and technical presentations.
• Oversee quality control for all outputs produced by junior and intermediate data scientists.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve their technical skill sets and career development.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data science roles.
• Expert knowledge of Python, SQL, R, or SAS within large data environments.
• 3+ years of experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms including regression, simulation, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks (LSTM, RNN).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing analytical solutions for real-world problems.
• 2+ years of experience building models using scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Transformers.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
• Proven ability to assess and implement new technologies within an organization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with model development and deployment in AWS or GCP.
• Background in financial services, credit, telecommunications, or utilities.
• Experience working specifically with credit or fraud data.
• Master’s level degree or MBA.
