Design and implement sustainable data architectures to drive business value and reduce maintenance overhead.

Responsibilities

• Design and align technical architectures that enable development teams to work effectively.
• Identify flaws in existing components and define transition paths from current to target architectures.
• Lead technical projects, including the selection and implementation of new data components.
• Collaborate with solution architects to integrate technical components into a cohesive whole.
• Coach project members and propagate architectural decisions through tailored communication.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a technical architect or lead developer within Data Intelligence.
• Extensive experience with Cloudera Data Platform (on-premise), NiFi, and Kafka.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Groovy, and Spark/PySpark for data processing.
• Deep knowledge of Apache Avro, Parquet, Iceberg, Impala, and Airflow.
• Strong understanding of event processing, JSON, and data modeling (e.g., Data Vault).
• Practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, and Analytics.
• Fluency in Dutch for verbal communication and documentation, with professional English proficiency.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks in a corporate structure.

Preferred Skills

• Conceptual knowledge of data warehousing and BI theories.
• Experience with MicroStrategy and SQL.
