Description

You will lead the design and implementation of complex data visualization features and front-end engineering projects.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end development of data visualization features and user interfaces.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, interactive visual narratives.
• Lead engineering initiatives and coordinate small teams where necessary.
• Develop and maintain performant front-end components using React and WebGL.
• Ensure efficient data manipulation and API integration for visual layers.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of front-end development experience.
• 2+ years specifically focused on data visualization.
• Proficiency in React.js with deep knowledge of Deck.gl (Layers, Views, Carto integration).
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and rendering pipelines (WebGL, Canvas).
• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as D3.js and Lodash.
• Familiarity with geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, TopoJSON, tilesets) and coordinate systems.
• Experience writing SQL for data querying.
• Strong visual storytelling and communication skills.
