Description

You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise MSSQL estate across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain databases for development, testing, and production while performing capacity planning.
• Execute remediation plans to ensure database deployments meet industry and company standards.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, database re-organizations, and instance monitoring to maximize uptime.
• Advise development teams on optimal server deployment, configuration, and efficient query patterns.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience managing MSSQL, including physical and logical database design.
• 8+ years of experience in database performance tuning, capacity planning, and SQL administration.
• 8+ years of experience with MSSQL roles, features, and security management.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-based services including AWS RDS and MS Azure.
• Expertise in MSSQL backup and recovery scenarios and business continuity planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools including SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and OS-level performance monitoring.
• Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and impact analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Server, MySQL, or Postgres databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps, automation tools, and CloudOps processes.
• Experience using monitoring and alerting tools like Data Dog and PagerDuty.
