Description

You will own the end-to-end IBM DataStage ETL platform, leading development, administration, and production support operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of DataStage support engineers, defining best practices for ETL development and release.
• Design, develop, and enhance DataStage jobs and workflows while administering user roles, security, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot job failures across DataStage and Unix environments, driving incident management, RCA, and continuous improvement.
• Manage Control-M for job monitoring, scheduling, failure handling, and agent upgrades.
• Develop and debug shell scripts and Python-based automation; configure SAP/Unix jobs and support Gentran integration components.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in IBM DataStage (Development + Administration).
• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and cron jobs.
• Hands-on experience with Python programming for automation.
• Strong experience with Control-M administration and scheduling.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, specifically MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• Proven experience in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading teams and handling stakeholder communication.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Gentran maps, mailboxes, FTP scripts, and Java programs.
• Background in migrating and upgrading enterprise ETL platforms.
