Description

You will own the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of the DB2 mainframe database environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain DB2 mainframe database systems and ensure high availability.
• Optimize SQL queries and tune database performance for efficiency.
• Execute DB2 utilities, manage recovery scenarios, and handle routine maintenance tasks.
• Apply Mainframedba concepts to streamline operational workflows.
• Utilize BMC and Broadcom tools for monitoring and administration.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of hands-on experience as a DB2 mainframe Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise in SQL tuning and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Db2 administration and management.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 utilities and disaster recovery processes.
• Familiarity with BMC tools for mainframe operations.
• Familiarity with Broadcom tools for mainframe operations.
• Understanding of Mainframedba concepts and practices.
