Description

Oversee database operations, service stability, and performance optimization across cloud and on-premise platforms while managing business stakeholders and technical teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24x7 database availability, stability, and performance across Oracle Cloud, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MS SQL, and Redshift.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management processes, including handling Severity 1 incidents and leading RCA discussions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, leading service reviews and providing proactive status updates.
• Lead onsite and offshore DBA teams, conducting syncs, performance reviews, and ensuring shift coverage.
• Drive automation, alert optimization, and cost optimization for OCI and AWS Cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration and management.
• Strong domain expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Autonomous Database, Data Guard, and cost optimization.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services, specifically RDS, EC2, and S3.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MS SQL, and Redshift.
• Strong ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) technical and functional knowledge.
• Expertise in Linux, NetApp storage, backup, and high availability.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Nimsoft.
• Ability to manage SLAs, MTTR, and customer satisfaction metrics.
