Description

You lead the design, operation, and optimization of scalable distributed applications on AWS. This role owns the cloud infrastructure strategy, from selecting services to automating deployments and ensuring security compliance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure, selecting appropriate IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services for compute, storage, and networking.
• Automate AWS resource provisioning and deployments using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Ensure cloud environments maintain strict security and compliance through access controls, encryption, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across cloud infrastructure and running distributed applications.
• Manage system performance monitoring, reporting, and optimization for large-scale systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with distributed applications at scale in AWS or an equivalent cloud environment.
• Expert knowledge of AWS services, architecture patterns, and networking concepts/protocols.
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration using Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Experience bootstrapping and automating complete Kubernetes environments from scratch.
• Strong background in infrastructure and application security practices.
• Familiarity with serverless compute (Lambda) and AWS solutions like Data Sync, Batch Job, or EMR.
