Description

You will lead electrical and instrumentation projects from basic design through to complete turnover to operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and review technical documentation including single line drawings, P&IDs, load lists, schematics, cable schedules, and control narratives.
• Stamp and seal instrumentation and electrical documents as the responsible Engineer-of-Record.
• Design improvements to optimize project costs while ensuring compliance with client specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Review supplier proposals and deliverables to ensure adequacy and technical compliance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in mining, aggregates, cement, or industrial minerals with material conveying solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active APEGA P.Eng. designation.
• Proven experience leading electrical and instrumentation projects from design to operation.
• Strong understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Expertise in machine and equipment design and project execution.
• Proficiency with design and typical project software.

Preferred Skills

• Other Canadian or USA Professional Engineering designations.
