Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain high-performance REST APIs with clear API contracts and reliable request/response handling.
• Own PostgreSQL database design, data modeling, and query optimization for production workloads.
• Drive backend architecture decisions for scalability, performance, resilience, and security.
• Ensure production operations through monitoring, observability, incident management, and platform reliability practices.

Skills Required:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production systems
• Python backend development (production systems)
• FastAPI for building REST APIs
• PostgreSQL database design, data modeling, and query optimization
• API development and production reliability practices

Good to Have:

• Agentic AI experience

Education: Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
