Description

You will lead the architecture, design, and development of the PISCES HUB platform, a configuration-driven, event-based data and rule-processing ecosystem supporting healthcare payer workflows.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering for the PISCES HUB initiative, providing architectural direction and hands-on leadership.
• Design and build metadata-driven pipelines, dynamic business rule engines, and configurable API/data integration frameworks.
• Implement event-driven systems using Kafka and build microservices deployed in AWS environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes, applying GitOps workflows for deployment automation.
• Mentor development teams and enforce engineering best practices across rule-driven systems.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading engineering or owning platform architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Java.
• Proven experience building configuration-driven systems and designing JSON/YAML/XML configuration interpreters.
• Strong database modeling expertise across SQL and NoSQL platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, specifically Payment Integrity workflows and claims adjudication.
