Description

Lead the development and modernization of critical RPG applications on IBM i platforms, ensuring robust performance and seamless integration with external systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG applications on IBM i platforms.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs, Web Services, and JSON.
• Optimize application performance and DB2/400 database efficiency through root cause analysis.
• Modernize legacy RPG applications and enhance supply chain business processes.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and prepare technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in IBM i RPG Development.
• Strong proficiency in RPG IV, RPG ILE, and RPG/400.
• Deep knowledge of IBM i (AS/400, iSeries) platforms.
• Experience with DB2/400 database development and support.
• Proficiency in CL, DDS, and Service Programs.
• Ability to integrate RPG applications with APIs, Web Services, and JSON.
• Experience in application troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience modernizing legacy RPG applications.
• Knowledge of supply chain or enterprise business applications.
