Description

You will lead backend and distributed systems engineering in Las Vegas, NV.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable microservices using Java, Python, or NodeJS.
• Manage data streaming and messaging workflows with Apache Kafka.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance using Splunk.
• Oversee deployment pipelines and infrastructure management within cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and NodeJS.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for distributed messaging.
• Practical use of Splunk for logging and monitoring.
• Experience with Spring, Shopify, and React.
• Working knowledge of Oracle DB, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with Maven, Ant, and YAML build configurations.
• Experience with GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Practical use of AWS, SAM, and Terraform.
