Description

Lead frontend development teams on complex projects through a fixed-term contract until February 2025.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a reusable UI component library using React, Next.js, Tailwind, and Storybook.
• Own frontend standards, code quality tools, Storybook maintenance, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce high-quality code focused on web standards, performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement testing strategies including Jest unit tests, Pa11y, and visual regression testing.
• Mentor junior developers through considerate code reviews and technical guidance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and native JS.
• Expert understanding of React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Deep knowledge of native CSS, semantic HTML, and web standards.
• Strong experience with design systems and atomic design principles.
• Ability to optimize web performance metrics including TTI, LCP, and thread blocking.
• Proficiency with Storybook and automated developer tooling.
• Experience deconstructing user interfaces into scalable, reusable components.
• Degree or any graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of micro frontend methodologies, microservices, and monorepos.
• Familiarity with Figma design token integration and headless CMS.
• Understanding of caching and security considerations within Next.js and composable architectures.
