Description

Lead back-end engineering efforts while remaining actively engaged in hands-on development and code optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex back-end systems, including job managers, schedulers, and distributed infrastructure components.
• Build high-volume, low-latency systems for mission-critical applications.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers to maintain high standards for code quality and engineering excellence.
• Make strategic decisions regarding back-end architecture, technology stacks, and tooling.
• Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software or product development with a focus on back-end engineering.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and ExpressJS.
• Experience with GraphQL schema design and optimization.
• Deep expertise in building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with identity server integration and authentication using OAuth or JWT.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, specifically MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, and CDK.
• Experience with message brokers and task queues such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS, and Celery.
• Mastery of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of frontend technologies.
