Description

Lead development of client-facing applications and production backend services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs for customer-facing applications.
• Build scalable backend services using Node.js and cloud-native functions.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Deploy containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain production databases with a focus on query performance and safety.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, including ORM concepts and relational database management.
• Proficiency in Angular or React.
• Hands-on AWS experience, specifically with Lambda and Elastic Container services.
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience working in live production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Bookshelf or similar ORM libraries.
• Python experience for writing AWS Lambda functions.
• Familiarity with AWS OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
