Description

Lead engineering governance for enterprise-scale GCP rollouts, ensuring safe, predictable, and audit-ready deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end release governance, including calendars, change approvals, go/no-go decisions, and rollback criteria.
• Define and enforce quality gates for IaC and platform changes, covering test strategy, regression coverage, and peer review standards.
• Run release readiness and post-release validation, executing cutover checklists, smoke tests, and incident triage.
• Establish standards for release documentation and evidence capture to align with regulatory control requirements.
• Coordinate dependencies across IAM, networking, security, and platform teams to drive timely decisioning and escalation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or release management.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and services.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of IAM policies, networking configurations, and security best practices.
• Expertise in defining and enforcing testing strategies and quality gates.
• Experience establishing release management operating models and evidence discipline.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and automate release checks.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in highly regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
• Background in defining operational handoffs, runbooks, and support SLAs.
